The resort is large enough but not too big. No need for gold carts. Easily walkable. Service was excellent everywhere. Plenty of food and drinks available including by the pool. My kids loved the “kids club” from 9-5 pm. We have been to resorts in Mexico and this had better alcohol service for sure. The property is not luxurious, but I really don’t care for that. This world class all-inclusive resort is nestled in a riverine island on the nearly untouched tropical northeast “Coral” coast of equatorial Brazil. Not just professionally landscaped, but lovingly and reverently provided a profusion of lawn, beach, pools, and gardens, this is a stunningly peaceful and joyful place to spend a romantic vacation. We enjoyed sun, trips to the coral sea, the soft warm Atlantic water, strolls in the garden, swimming and fountains and water slides in the pools, and a happy flowering of activities: one thing Brazilian men know how to do, which American men do not, is dance: one of the greatest spectacles to me was how a group of men and women effortlessly enjoyed the music a DJ was playing by dancing in unison following an unknown choreography. Three excellent meals a day and friendly, fun-loving people. There is no country like Brazil, and no resort in Brazil better than Salinas do Maragogi.By ohthatpaul (7 months ago)As far as the hotel, pool, and restaurants go it is pretty good: all you can eat, drink, etc. Quality beer and liquor. Meat could be better. Wine is not good, bring your own if you like good wine. Now for the bad: the river that cuts through it stinks. The river meets the sea very near the hotel, so the beach is disgusting at low tide, toxic, unswimmable with brown foam. In the winter (May-September) the tide moves north along the coast and pushes the river water right onto the beach in front of the hotel. This is NOT the Maragogi pictures in the advertisement, at all. You need to pay to go to a good beach. Visited end of June 2022. Location was great, had the beach close by and pool was nice. No hot tub. The rooms were old though. Our shower door wouldn’t close, beds were very firm and hard. The toilet had an issue flushing and the hotel took 3 hours to decide to put us in a different room. Food was decent 4/5. Service lacks consistency, bar and cleaning service extremely slow. The bar structures need to be expanded to accommodate the guest capacity and staff should be increased. Also, the shower glass door did not close completely which made the bathroom wet. We also raised this issue but nothing happened.

Pools great …other than that go elsewhere
Don’t think of taking drinks to the pool your searched everything you carry a bag
We was hassled by people trying to sell something in the reception everyday.
I enjoyed the stay here and recommend booking it directly with the hotel if you want your meals included. The pools can get quite hot. Night time is the best to enjoy the springs. Unfortunately, the saune wasn’t working during my stay.
No parking space at all, even the front parking for load/unload is terribly small. The parking lot from the club is very expressive. Staff do not provide enough information. Inside the club there are a lot of ramps ad stairs. Very dangerous for kids. Food is also very expressive. Needs a lot of improvement…
