Right on the beach! Beautiful grounds, very kind and friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant onsite had a great breakfast.❤️ Shutters Bar had wonderful entertainment nightly. Some technology issues with the room key FOBS, but staff worked hard to resolve. (Never did tho) Beds in the rooms were a bit harder than we were use to. Housekeeping kept rooms readily clean. Pools were clean, very cool temperature wise. Overall, a nice experience.By Carey B (2 months ago)Good choice for families and centrally located with easy access to other areas of the island. The beach is beautiful, though the surf is a bit rough for swimming. It has a great pool complex, but lacks quiet areas for adults to relax. Guest rooms are refreshed but do show their age. Highly recommend the one room suite for its spectacular view of the pool, gardens, and beach, and its expanded space and large bathroom.By michael barnett (6 months ago)Stayed in a king room with a pool view. It was pretty nice, not super impressed with the room but the view was nice. The toilet ran, the shower head was loose so there was low pressure and the water ran down. Bed is very soft. And the ac would randomly shut off at night so the room would get warm. Those are the negatives, but the positives are the location is great. The property overall is beautiful, the views from the room are good, the spa was nice. We got a massage the first morning we were there and it was great. The pool is nice. There’s even a water slide.By Marc Pichon (5 months ago)This is a beautiful resort and the grounds are lovely – you can belive their photos! Every single staff member I interacted with was absolutely amazing. They were friendly and helpful at all times. There’s an excellent spot to watch the sunrise on the beach. The restaurants are nice, if a bit pricey. The room was comfortable and clean. I very much enjoyed my week stay here and would definitely stay here again.By Laura Vasser (3 months ago)We stayed at the Kauai Beach Villas and had added to the Beach Resort Amenities. You can tell the property owner is doing several improvements and renovations to the property. It’s not brand new, but the central location for exciting the island is perfect!! The seclusion of the property (very uncrowded beach with wide open views in both directions) is really wonderful and my kids enjoyed beach walking so much! We found plenty of crabs, fish, sea cucumber, sea urchin, snails, shells, and coral in the little tide pools along the shore. The surf is rough, no swimming at all, but the beach is beautiful to sit and enjoy or walk beside. Our kids LOVED the variety of pools, which never felt crowded. The restaurant and cabana bar were both good and we ordered several meals.By Miranda Johnson (10 months ago)

It’s very hard for me to review something and say it was 100%. But I think I finally found a place worthy of it. I got a renovated room with ocean view and was not disappointed. Room was beautiful and well kept. Staff was extremely nice. The beach in front of the hotel is excellent (even though it was my 4th favorite beach during my trip, still amazing!). It’s a very long and wide sandy beach that comprises a few hotels, which is great, because I saw some hotels facing no sand at all. It is a very privileged location. Great for snorkeling, dinning, it’s only a 5 minute walk from an open mall (The Whaler). Restaurant and buffet breakfast are great. Renting services are very convenient (snorkel kits, SUB, etc). I loved it here. It felt very welcoming and relaxing.By Juliana Glufke Salomé (8 months ago)Absolutely the best location! It’s the only true Hawaiian hotel in the area. Beach was beautiful, staff was nice and accommodating. Happy Hour had good appetizers and drink specials.
The pool was great and big enough for us to feel comfortable. The rooms have been recently updated and it was nice and spacious. I definitely suggest this hotel if you’re visiting Maui. It’s a 10 minute Uber or cab ride to all the shopping and bars on Front street.By Nisey (6 months ago)The resort was nice, the rooms were clean, room service was great and they did a nice Lei ceremony send off were we got beautiful leis. The beach was great with big waves and we even saw some turtles! The on site food is a bit pricey even for Hawaii standards. A better pool and/or hottub on the resort would have been nice, but overall a great experience, highly recommend.By Courtney Sherman (a month ago)Hotel stay was very comfortable. We had booked a ocean front room. The room was in the renovated building and had modern layout. There was no microwave in the room though. The resort staff was super helpful and provided us thier beach chairs once they ran out of rentals. Everything else other than the room was extra chargeable. For example beach chairs, snorkel gear, cabanas. There were few activities and shops at the resort, and it’s a nice walk to the whalers village shopping center.
Kaanapali Beach is well worth the hype. Perfect sand beach for swimming, snorkeling, and just sunbathing!
Black Rock is beach walking distance from the hotel. It’s very nice snorkeling spot.By Gopal Rander (4 months ago)Great value Hotel. This is out second stay here. Cannot beat the location. We’re in a renovated room. Soundproofing could be better, can hear TVs, people in hallways and other rooms even with fans and ac on. We have a “courtyard view” which looks into the center grounds of the hotel and we don’t have an ocean view from the room but from like 2 steps on the patio it’s full ocean view, which is great, saved several hundred $$ on that and still get the benefit!! Solid 3.5 stars, basics plus, location definitely brings it to a 4. Fridge is tiny, no microwave, but there is a kettle and coffee maker.By Katherine Norris (a month ago)
