A gorgeous pink sand beach on Harbour Island that is quite long. It benefits from having the resorts being up above the beach rather than being in the beach. Additionally there are not a bunch of chairs and umbrellas on the beach, but some so that guests can enjoy the beach. Very beautiful and a great place to enjoy the water and the amenities of Harbour Island. In sure the resorts are fairly costly, but a day trip from the main island of Eleuthera is doable.By Millie Kwan (4 months ago)It is NOT pink pink – some people put a filter to make it look extremely pink, it looks like the sand has a hint of pink to it, it more like white. There’s no restrooms or showers or anything, it’s a nice beach though, there’s a really private hidden rocky area if you walk all the way to the end and over the uneven coral rocks.By Albert Guerra (3 months ago)One the most beautiful pink sand beaches I’ve seen. The kids loved it. The Atlantic swells and waves are a bit rough for some. We’re used to that in the OBX.
Dive under the big waves and go over the smaller ones. Never turn your back to the ocean and always keep your knees bent and turn to let the waves hit the backs of your legs. This will save you from a blown out knee.
I still managed to lose my sunglasses because I got nailed when I broke my own rule and had my back to the ocean. I got decked by a big wave. The sand is so fine that it “muddies” the water in the surf and you can’t see the bottom.
I can recommend renting chairs and an umbrella from TeeJay’s as well as drinks and lunch. You can ride horses on the beach from the stables behind TeeJays also. This beach has a lot to offer. We showered after at Valentine’s Marina before heading back to our hotel on the main island.
By Preston Burns (a month ago)Beautiful beach. Great boogie board waves. Nice, safe walking beach! We only spent the day, but it was very nice. Not bright pink, but just a small hint. If you get really close you can really tell!By heth b (2 years ago)It’s not the best one in the world but worth visiting for sure— cuz everyone else went there: your loved ones probably want to check it out- not a problem: but don’t expect you will find the color you saw on the social media. If you live near the east coast of North America then it may be worth going. I met a tourists group there-they are retirees who flew all the way from China-USA-The Bahamas and finally got there ( probably took 18+ hours). I would rather go to somewhere easier to access if I were them. Anyway, it’s day (2019 Jan) with good memories still: relaxing place and clean beach. Only a few people, not too many family or young kids there on that day(but really windy and sunny). Drink can be purchased by the beach, and the staff are super friendly.By Daniel Z (2 months ago)

I’ve been traveling the Bahamas for 20 years. This is now in my top 5. I’d give it a 5 star but the location and condition of the pool took a star away. The views are spectacular! The rooms are huge ! Spacious and decorated so nicely. The air conditioner worked great ! This is the place to go and not be stuck with hundreds of other tourists in the Bahamas.
The staff is great. The rooms and the location is great as well. But if you are staying at Pink Sands I highly recommend that you do NOT dine there. It is overpriced and doesn’t taste good at all. The menu items aren’t local cuisine and you’re better off spending your money on food anywhere else on the island. They need to seriously re-evaluate their menus and the dining experience because none of the dishes we have tried (breakfast and two dinners) were even close to being “mmmm that’s okay”.
Location is really beautiful . Hotel was not worth what they were charging. Restaurant was less than moderate. The hotel itself was no frills- very basic. Room conditions were fine- just not luxury and not worth 800 a night in my opinion. Staff was friendly but not very helpful. The best part is the beach .
The rooms are nice and the beach is unparalleled, but the service and the food are pretty abysmal. Plan to eat all your dinners elsewhere (the good restaurants on the island book up really far in advance so plan ahead!) and order lunch about 1.5-2 hours before you plan to eat (that’s not an exaggeration). If you want a drink go to the bar directly and wait until they give it to you! It’s a shame honestly because it has all the infrastructure for an amazing experience but it just kept disappointing us 🙁
They have the best beach spot, but don’t expect much else from the resort. Expect 1-2 hours wait for meals, and food not worth the wait (or price). Rooms could be nice given the location, but don’t expect much frills and sometimes no housekeeping.
