Nice little cosy fisherman’s cabins. We had a nice comfortable cabin (# 17) on the seaside with a magnificent view.
The cabin has living room/kitchen, bedroom, bathroom.
Kitchen is has all the utensils you need to cook your own meal.
    The restaurant serves excellent meals.
Location is on walking distance to the city.
We were so lucky to see the northern lights twice.

We spent 4 nights here and we were a family of 5. We had a perfect stay. We stayed at the XXL cabin with 4 bedrooms. The house is very cozy and comfortable. We felt at home, and we could also see the Northern Lights twice out of the door. Breakfast was great. We’ll miss this place a lot.

BIG WOOOW TO THIS PLACE!! 😍
Every single time I go to Lofoten I stay in Svinøya. I really adore this place so much!! Beside the incredible service provided by the team working there from the warm welcome in the reception to the waiters in the restaurant, the housekeepers and the owner Ola I like the style of the cabins soooo much! The views from Svinøya are insane, the cabins are real luxury Rorbu ( old fishermen cabins ) warm, cosy, clean and with the most comfortable beds ever!!
If you wanna have a real Lofoten food experience, I highly recommend you to eat at Børsen, their restaurant! 😍

Is the perfect getaway in the entire Lofoten!! 😍

Location 10, Staff 10, Cleanliness 10, design 10, Quality of the sleep 10, internet speed 10 and views 10! 😍

    I love you Svinøya!!! ♥️🇳🇴
    We will come back!

We stayed in one of the larger fisherman’s cottages. It felt very homey and cozy, clean and had everything we needed. Getting there at night and trying to find exactly where it was was slightly challenging but humorous rather than a negative experience. The staff was super helpful and very kind—beautiful area with the sea and the mountains. The breakfast was terrific and also in a fun, old fishery. I wish I would have known about the sauna and booked it! It looked like fun, but closed by 9 pm. A very unique stay, I would recommend it!

We stayed in a small Rorbuer (31) for 1 night and it was perfect, although the room is maybe a bit too small (bed too close to the walls). But the welcome is very warm and friendly. The hottub is really a plus, the environment of Nusfjord is calm and serene.
On top of that they are very reactive, I forgot my precious necklace and the same day they warned us of the forgetfulness, we saw the email 4 days later, they kept it well warm the time for us to come and get it back, thank you again.

The place is unique, bungalows are charming yes. However, this hotel definitely need to raise the level in term of service: you can’t charge this price level and ignore the basic principles of hospitality. From the welcome at the reception (poor) up to available services (no lugguages carry up to the room), no introduction to the bungalow neither the resort (you get a map and that’s it) and you get kicked out from the restaurant at 21h30 while you have booked a stay and dine and intend to enjoy the moment up to the end (why not taking a digestive after desert ?).
Also, some investments to refresh the infrastructure are needed..
a room for improvement for sure…

Very impressive location with cosy cabins.
Good sauna with outdoor hot tubs with a great view to the mountains and the Atlantic.
Excellent restaurant with very friendly service.

Really authentic Lofoten experience – very secluded resort, but has everything you need! Sauna, hot tub, fjord for ice swimming. 2 Restaurants which were both great. A little country store. Everything was great and so picturesque- we loved just walking around and taking pictures. The cabin/rorbuer was amazing – very nice. Bed was incredibly comfortable. The 2 bedroom cabin each had their own bathroom which was nice. We got lucky and had our cabin right next to the sauna/hot tub area which was amazing! Nothing bad to say – would recommend and return if back in Lofoten!! Not to mention AMAZING breakfast buffet! One of the best I’ve ever had at any hotel/resort! All very healthy, quality ingredients – really delicious.

Spent a night in this typical and historical fishing village on the way to Reine. There was not much going on, probably due to winter conditions but i can’t regret to have chosen Nusfjord for a pit stop. I am willing to return maybe during summertime next time.

  1. The location of the cabins is magnificent. The cabins were well maintained, and with all the expected facilities. Our only comment is the very small bedroom which was a bit too crowded for us. Other then that, walking on the deck outside and viewing the fjord and the mountains is truly a remarkable experience, and the entire village is beautiful. Try to visit the small museum in the village which has on display a lot of footage and artifacts from the history of the place.

  2. We stayed 2 nights at Eliassen. Everything is via their app, check-in / check-out / unlocking the rooms. We went during October, so the cafe and restaurant were closed. However, it was very quiet and calm. Some rooms have amazing view, it definitely worths to pay a bit extra and stay in one of those rooms. We didn’t have luck to see northern lights from the room, but the fjords were beautiful. Parking is also available.

  3. I had a great stay! So close to the ferry and hiking. I loved being right on the water in a newly renovated classic Lofoten rorbu with floor to ceiling windows of the water and mountains and sky light windows to gaze at the stars. Beautiful setting, in a spotlessly clean room and kitchen. Perfect in every way. Thank you!

  4. Very spacious cabin – living space is open, with high, lofted ceilings with full kitchen and L shaped cough. Makes for a very cozy area to hang out and relax. Bedrooms only had bunkbeds which were fine, though would prefer a double bed. Only 1 bathroom in the 2 bedroom cabin, but we made it work for 4 people. Excellent location with good views! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

  5. Absolutely stunning location. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Perfect spot with a lovely view.

Bring your own toiletries as most places in Norway do not include shampoo/conditioner.
