  1. Beautiful property on a gorgeous stretch of beach. Top notch staff…very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful room, which they graciously upgraded us with an ocean view. Their level of commitment to their customers speaks volumes through their actions. We arrived to enjoy one great night, but unfortunately a family emergency occurred that caused us to return home the.very next day. The Westin treated us with great compassion and refunded all of our unused nights which they didn’t have to do for our non-refundable booking. Thank you Westin team for treating us so well in a horrible situation.

  2. This is a lovely hotel on a beautiful stretch of beach. The on-site store has a nice selection of food options and snacks. The gym is also pretty nice. The lobby is gorgeous but very loud. I had a room not too far from the lobby and my entire stay it was noisy, even into very late hours of the night. There were also some aspects of my room that weren’t great- a toilet that ran constantly and it didn’t feel as clean as I would have liked. Overall not a bad hotel if you are located far from the lobby but some areas for improvement.

  3. The Westin Hotel has the best location and beach access on the Seven Mile Beach. The hotel has average rooms. The majority of staff were excellent. The concierge needs some work. The Hotel does have good deals at happy hour. However, like most places on the island, it is very expensive. The Beach House restaurant is excellent. The dumplings for an appetizer are incredible. We also enjoyed the spa for an afternoon. We had the sampler experience. I would say it was the best relaxing message I have ever had. The hotel was very laid-back with other guests’ attire. Very few people dressed up for dinner. There were tons of families, and the hotel had many toys for the kids to play with. They have 2 floating platforms in the ocean for guests to relax on. The kids loved jumping off them, too.

As a Titianum member, I was disappointed in the lack of perks and upgrades.

  4. Our stay at the Westin Grand Cayman was amazing! If you are looking for a relaxing, fun, and beautiful place to stay, look no further than the Westin! Gorgeous beach, clean rooms, attentive staff, breathtaking views, and unbeatable amenities!

The resort had a lot of fun activities planned throughout our stay (beach yoga/meditation/music trivia/poolside games, s’mores roast, happy hours, etc). We were never bored! There are also water sports/activities that conveniently launch from the beach.

The proximity of the resort to various restaurants was perfect – we could walk to many different restaurants nearby. There are many delicious dining options at the resort if you decide not to venture out! Every meal/snack (down to the coffee from the coffee shop) was delicious!

In addition to everything stated above, the staff and service are wonderful. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. We know we will be back & will recommend to anyone traveling to the island! Thanks for an unforgettable trip!

  5. Overall a very good experience. Hotel is in a great location with a wonderful, very clean, stretch of beach with fine white sands and crystal clear waters. Rooms were very comfortable. Staff is very friendly. A couple really nice restaurants on the property and the lobby and pool bars are also very nice. There’s a company that handles excursions and activities on the property, however, I thought there was limited activities.

A couple points to note: it’s VERY expensive. I’m not an experienced island hopper so maybe it’s the norm, but the forced gratuity is annoying and obnoxious. I can understand the real service aspect (ordering drinks/food from a beach ambassador while at the beach/pool, sitting down to a meal), but they will charge you gratuity if you get a bottle of water, bags of chips or candy bar (or anything else) at the convenience store. And then if you are looking to go to a restaurant off the resort and need a taxi be ready to pay through the nose between $20-$40 ONE-WAY!

There’s a couple pretty good restaurants within walking distance, but BEWARE, if you get take out sushi from the very good sushi restaurant directly across the street from the hotel and you want to bring it to the lobby or pool area to eat, the hotel WILL NOT ALLOW THAT. We tried that and the hotel manager approached us and told us we weren’t allowed to eat it in any public area since the hotel has their own sushi restaurant.

Lastly, the beach lounge chairs were probably the most uncomfortable chairs I’ve ever lounged on at a beach. They are smallish with an unusual bar directly where the small of you back is.

We experienced the best customer service that we have received since the beginning of and during the pandemic! Everyone at the Marriott was extremely professional and very helpful, and always had a smile on their face! Our reservation specialist, Tansy and our front desk, helper, Stephanie were wonderful whenever we had any questions or needed extra help! Jerome at the pool is always cheerful and helpful and Justin at the veranda, an amazing restaurant was also great! The food in all the restaurants was always hot and fresh! Just delicious! We are sad to leave and will be very excited to return!

Well maintained hotel with excellent service. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure guests enjoy themselves. Although the beach was lost based on recent storms there is still access to the water from an area very close to the pool. This is a beautiful hotel centrally located in a area where there are numerous very good restaurants within walking distance. There are also numerous daily activities planned at the hotel that you can attend. We are beach people and the fact that there was no beach should have been disclosed in my opinion. The Marriott does provide a shuttle to a public beach that is excellent and where we spent the majority of our time during the day. If you use the shuttle and you want beach chairs and an umbrella you will need to rent them from a vendor at the public beach. I think the Marriott should offer to pay for this as well because if you were able to stay at the hotel there would be no need to rent these items. We really enjoyed our stay and I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because of the lack of beach access.

We are currently staying at the Grand Cayman Beach Resort. The beach in the hotel name is gone due to storms and erosion which is totally understandable. However, at no point during booking are you informed of this fact. This also makes the pool area extremely crowded and it’s not even the high season. There are also not a lot of good options as the hotel restaurants/bars have basically, the same menu. The waitstaff and bartenders are awesome though, as are the staff at the coffee bar.

We checked in last Saturday and had a bunch of issues with our room. The safe was broken and would not lock. The space where a refrigerator is supposed to be was empty. We could not lock the door which was a big concern. The air conditioner would not turn off so the room was freezing. After multiple trips to the front desk over 36 hours, no repairs happened. We actually slept in a room that was about 36 degrees and no door lock. I had asked to change rooms and was told that none are available. On day two I met Claudio at the front desk. He had the repairs taken care of by the end of the day. He is a star at this Marriott!

Today, we are on day four of our stay and find that the room phone has not been working. Turns out it’s not the phone but the phone line. I mean I understand things happen but what if we have emergency.

So far, aside from the staff who are so nice and accommodating, this has been kind of a disappointing stay. I’ll update as the trip progresses.

West side of the Island, amazing sunset views.

While the service was amazing, compared to other Marriott properties, the hotel is past it’s time for a remodel.

Grab and Go, great spot for morning coffees or lattes before you start your day.

Awesome Towel Hut staff help you find loungers, sun or shade.

Let’s talk about that Elephant, yes the beach! We love time at a beach but it wasn’t a big deal that one didn’t exist. If the weather cooperates, they may put a few chairs in the water, on the beach that does exist.

Grocery/ spirits within walking distance. Taxis readily available if you do not have a car.

Customer service is an absolute 10/5! The staff at this hotel are by far the best I have ever seen. This was my 3rd stay here, this time around was exceptional! They were always nice but it was a whole new level on this stay. The beach is definitely diminished (our last stay was March 2020) but we stayed Tuesday to Tuesday and found it easy to get a spot at the beach the first 3 days, it got a little busy after that but the pool staff were able to get us Cabanas and it didn’t seem overly crowded at the pool as others have stated. I also appreciate that you do not have to pay for the cabanas. There is a strict 1 hour policy on reserving pool chairs, which I appreciated. I have been to other hotels that have empty chairs saved for the entire day and it gets very frustrating when you see no one using them. By mid-stay, staff were referring to us by name, I found that to be incredibly personal and appreciated all of their accommodations on this trip. We took bikes out almost every day and they have nice Linus bikes to use. The food at the hotel is absolutely fantastic, the drinks are amazing, the deserts were my favorite! They do s’mores on the pool deck 3/7 nights and the hotel seems very kid friendly without being annoying. They have an incredible breakfast that I didn’t remember from my last stays. Overall, I am very happy to have been back and will definitely return again, and I will only stay at this location. I have been to other hotels on 7 mile and this is by far the best. I highly recommend this hotel, even with the beach issue. They made up for it in almost every way!

Beautiful hotel and the best attentive service by an international crew or highly trained professionals .
Everything in this hotel was perfect if you don’t look at the prices – but deserved.

Large clean pools open until 10pm, good gym but strangely closed at 7 pm.

Rooms nice with a balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean.

    Good conference facility.

The food wasn’t over the top but good..
    A welcoming luxury resort.

The nicest place I have ever stayed. Beautiful and impeccably clean grounds. Gorgeous beaches. Kids rotated through beach, pool, waterpark nonstop. Kids Menus were perfect. Food at all restaurants was amazing and impressed the NYC folk. Staff so well trained, attentive, personal, and always smiling and helpful. Could not have asked for anything more. Would come back here over and over again.

Impeccable and incredible service. Thank you for making a birthday and anniversary memorable, i couldn’t have asked for more. Every staff member was kind and attentive to my nephews and family. The birthday cake for my nephew was above and beyond and he’ll never forget it. The NYE party on the beach is a memory we will always cherish. Thank you to everyone at Ritz Grand Cayman for being exceptional and for Bonvoy for making all of our trips one of a kind!

Beautiful resort, lovely amenities and the staff is the best part- always available and helpful with any requests. Our family had a wonderful week long vacation here. The daily breakfast was excellent. Our kids loved the pool, water park and of course the fun activities with the Ambassadors of the environment kids club. We will be back!! Don’t miss Bar Jack for the fish tacos and signature pina colada! Special shout out to Sylvia and Marta who took extra special care of us during our stay!
