If you plan to stay here by the sea, don’t go for the “standard room”, pay more for a view. The “standard” room is very dated and small, with no view. It is however clean as with all the 11 Paradors we had stayed so far (including Paradores de Segovia, Corias and Santiago this month).
That said, what made a big POSITIVE difference for this stay are:
. Mr Fernando from the reception. If all Paradors has someone as helpful and warm as Mr Fernando at the reception, I think the Paradors will get an additional star in rating.
. We had the best eating experience at the restaurant. The food and also the staffs are excellent! We enjoyed both dining and breakfast.

Best food we have had since we came to Spain. Service also very good
It was clean. We arrived a little after 11 a.m., and we could only get tortilla (mediocre), bizcocho, and vending-machine type sweet breads. On the positive side, the restrooms were clean — although the men’s room didn’t have a seat on the toilet! Good fresh orange juice! Overall, unimpressive. Afterward, we realized that we should have asked Google to show us other places close by.
Nice place to stay if you want to visit playa de la cathedral. Great place to eat also with huge portions!
Good food, friendly staff! A bit pricey. We paid 42 euro for what we ate. I’m also sharing updated menu pictures.
Had a great lunch. Friendly service and he spoke very good English. Nice views of the mountains. A little expensive for some things. But big portions.
