Everyone was so kind, from valet and bell hop to check-in to housekeeping. The hotel is very well-kept and our room was fantastically clean. We had a minor problem with our AC and toilet and maintenance was up within an hour, even when we told them there was absolutely no rush. Comfortable beds and nice pillows. …we never saw the robes that were supposed to be in the rooms or the poolside desserts? The robes weren’t an issue to us though and we didn’t use the pool, just walked through several times. Overall, we will definitely stay here next time we come to Hawaii. …and I truly can’t express enough how clean it was. Fabulous!!By Amanda Goebel (5 months ago)Our 3 night stay here was fantastic. First off, the room was comfortable, clean, and very well maintained. It’s 2 short blocks from McDonald’s, so getting early morning coffee was super convenient. We never used the pool, but it looked nice. At the pool they have complimentary towels and beach chairs which you can sign out for the day and take across the street to Waikiki beach, which is amazing. At night we walked the strip, which is entertaining with lots to see. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities within walking distance.By Josh Scheibelhut (4 months ago)I’d consider this a budget high end hotel. The property is beautiful on the outside and located across the street from Waikiki which I loved. But inside is dated and shows lots of water stains and mold inside the bathrooms.
We upgraded for a beach view and that was amazing but overall the hotel is aging poorly and could use some upkeep. Staff was decent at this place.
By Justin Doi (6 months ago)This resort is older, but has a great location and a lot of charm. The rooms could use some updating – paint was not in the best shape, furniture was dinged, and there were some resort-wide issues with the air conditioner. The bed was VERY firm and pillows are flat, which was uncomfortable for me. Be aware of this if it is of importance to you.We called the front desk when our room wasn’t cooling, and they quickly sent up an engineer to check the a/c. Unfortunately, the whole resort was facing an issue with the air, but they were able to bring up a tower fan for us to use. Everyone who was part of that was incredibly nice and helpful.
The location is spectacular. It was centrally located on Waikiki beach, just on the other side of the road from the Duke statue. Keep in mind, that means it is a bit noisy and that the area stays crowded. For us, that wasn’t an issue at all. The view from our room was worth it!
They offer free yoga as well as Hawaiian cultural events and classes. We didn’t get to partake, but it looked amazing.
By Megan Harding (6 months ago)Great location to beach, great view of beach, on site restaurants were decent but not worth the price, service was great at shor but not so good at swim, pool was decent and so was hot tub but depending on when you go it does get quite busy making it hard to find a chair. Long walk from entrance to elevators to get to room. They allow a complimentary hour for check out but anymore than that it costs minimum 100$. Housekeeping was good, every time we had them clean our room they did a great job. Parking was expensive, parking structure was difficult to drive through and didn’t seem like there was a lot of spaces. Lots of shops inside, they have various activities throughout the week including a farmers market twice a week which was cool.
Room was decent size, beds were comfortable, great view of both the ocean and the city from our balcony. Door wasn’t sealed great so light came through our door the entire night and the balcony door did get noisy when the wind was blowing pretty hard, actually had to open slightly one night because it was quieter that way. No microwave in room which was a little inconvenient due to having to go quite a ways to use the one in the hotel. Bathroom was small but did have a bidet which was interesting.By Christina Erickson (in the last week)

Our experience was not the best. We were pretty much forced to purchase a room upgrade to get a decent room. The first room we got was extremely small with a pretty much non-existent ocean view even though it was marketed as having one. We were placed at a corner of the hotel with a view of an extremely narrow piece of the beach, which basically seemed like using a loophole in order to advertise and sell the room as an ocean view. The only solution we got from the front desk was to pay $1,000 extra for a room upgrade since the hotel was pretty full (because of labor day) which was super disappointing. They actually wanted us to upgrade to an even more expensive room and spend $2,000 extra for a room with 2 balconies, which did not make any sense because our friends’ room had 2 balconies and we booked the exact same room. Since we did not have any other option other than to keep the tiny secluded room or purchase an upgrade, my boyfriend and I decided to take an ocean front room upgrade for $1,000 more with 2 double beds because apparently they didn’t have an ocean front room with a king bed (which made me extremely unhappy and a double bed for both of us was a little tight). They made no effort to help us nor did they even try searching for any other available rooms. The most frustrating part is that we know they had rooms that were actually ocean view, because the other members of our group all had these types of rooms. Not only did they have actual views of the water, but their rooms were considerably more spacious and comfortable. The customer service was extremely disappointing and I expected more from the Marriott. The only reason why we did not leave the hotel was because our family and friends were staying there and we had already paid for the original room. My suggestion to everyone is to be really careful with booking here because you might not get an actual ocean view but instead get a parking lot and pool view like I did with zero help from the staff.By Kira Andrade (7 months ago)We recently stayed in Hawaii for a week and trying to find a nice resort can be difficult to say the least but after much research, we settled on the Waikiki Beach Marriott. I’ve never had a bad experience while staying at a Marriott hotel. The check in was seamless and hassle free with the front desk giving great customer service and answering all of our questions. Everyone from the valet, concierge, room service and maid service was great.
They have a variety of things to keep your family or just you and your partner entertained. They have a pool just for adults, and the other is for kids, which is really convenient and relaxing. A highly thorough fitness center, numerous shops in the lobby, several bars and restaurants, one of which features live music at night, as well as convenient access to the beach.
Overall, I am happy with our experience at Waikiki Beach Marriott because it was a great value, close proximity to many attractions, customer service was great. We will definitely consider staying again in the future.
By Anthony Harrison (4 months ago)We came for our anniversary and had a wonderful time.Front office staffs were very pleasant, check in/out was smooth and housekeeping was always on time. Restaurant food and live music were amazing!
We particularly would like to compliment the Pool Attendant – “Ms. Rainbow” who was very nice and friendly, she was super attentive, helpful and made us feel very welcomed.
She gave us many great recommendations on the hotel restaurants/activities/events, and also when she found out we were there on our anniversary she arranged for a nice bottle of Champagne and gifts sent to our room.Having had worked in 5* hotel chain all my life I know it is dedication like hers that makes a difference.
Thanks again and we hope the management pass this compliment onto Rainbow!
By Yuko Note (2 months ago)I suppose Waikiki standard of living is just different, perhaps. For similar price, I can get a 5.5 stars hotel in Asia easily with lots of room amenities, minimum of which would be a free standing bath tub, mood lights, massage shower, fancy sofa and other luxury items. Here I found no kettle, no shaver/dental kit or even bottled water. I do find the fill-your-own bottle at the lobby area a good practice to be environmentally friendly though. No complain. The hotel itself was comfortable, clean and things work. About 3 minutes walk from Waikiki Beach. It has its own Starbucks outlet and a convenience store. At the other wing of the building one can find a good steakhouse and another Starbucks cafe. Staff were friendly and helpful.
My favourite place of my room was the balcony. Lots of sunlight, and on this visit, a dove dropped by to say hello.
By Freddy Kua (2 months ago)Rainbow was lovely. She is very kind and explains everything. She set our cabana up with towels and she also explained the flowers that adorn your lovely resort. She checked in with us several times. She definitely deserves five stars!
The shower was so very nice. The toilet was an older, shorter model. Daily room service was excellent. The sheets were crisp every day.By REBECCA PETHERAM (in the last week)

Thank you for reading! If you have any additional information on the best Beach Resort in Lanikai, Hawaii, please leave a comment below. We would love to hear from you!
Beautiful location with direct beach access. This conglomerate of Hilton hotels bunched together creating a little shopping haven. What is unique with this Hilton location is the fire work every Friday night at 8pm. An experience you do not want to miss. The fire work is beautiful and proximal that it feels 3D.
Bali at the waterfront for breakfast: the waitress I have was attentive, personable and made great suggestions. Although it looks real pricey, the portion size is decent and can be shared…what make up for the price is the view of the ocean and the food being served immediately piping hot.
The only cons are the front desk could have smile more and be friendlier. Being a diamond member and could not get any member benefits when subscribed to the Hilton Grand vacation package was a total disappointment. Not only you can’t check in early, we had to wait 3 hours to be notified that our room was ready. Then wait another hour at the mail and key line to find out that our room was not ready. That was a little perturbing.
The first thing you should understand is that this is a family resort. Lots and lots of kids, which is OK because I have a few myself. If you’re a couple looking for a romantic and somewhat quiet get away this probably wouldn’t be the way to go. I really enjoyed the restaurants and the food service was above and beyond. However, the lines on the elevators and for check in (over 100 people at a time) were a bit crazy. If Vegas can figure out how to check in hundreds of thousands per day this resort should be able to as well. Overall I enjoyed my stay because the staff were so friendly, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again.
Great experience at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The website could use an update as it was a little misleading on a few things. And heads up if you book an excursion, which I highly recommend, the service at the hotel is excellent, but you will be asked to go to a presentation on time shares and if you decline, the team becomes a little less enthusiastic about helping you. 😉 we enjoyed the many restaurants, the fun activities, and the shops at the resort. We really could have spent the entire week there and never had to leave. I appreciated the towel service and the hospitality crew were fantastic. Check in was easy and the staff at the desk were wonderful. Overall it was a perfect getaway for my husband and I.
Had a wonderful restful few days. Our room had a balcony with a perfect view. No ocean view this time but beautiful mountain lights and city lights especially at night. Desk was perfect for my husband to do work. Couch was comfortable and the small coffee table was perfect for eating and relaxing watching the free DVD you can get downstairs in a electronic order selection unit. The bed was comfortable but the pillows had a smell to it. The little fridge was useful after we went grocery shopping at the ABC store very close to our tower 👍
Four point five review!
This hotel is very beautiful, perfectly located, clean, awesome amenities and amazing staff!
It is fun, original, classy and creative stunning architecture.
There are only two reasons why I am not giving 5 stars. First, non of the pools are heated… Second; room decoration is outdated, and the furniture seemed like it was peeling due to humidity…
A very fun place. Gorgeous and fun amenities… Unique style; and breathtaking balcony views.
