    Heaven above the clouds. A place like no other at 1770m above sea level. Staff, wellness, food, wine, cocktails, service, rooms, family entertainment – everything is top notch. We have seen a lot, on nearly all continents, this Austrian Alpine resort is the best of the best. Highly recommend. We will come back.

    I cannot imagine a better place to stay. Perfect houses surrounded by mountains. In the morning the view from the window especially breathtaking! Rooms are clean, fresh. Beds are comfortable, I was sleeping as an angel!
    Also 5 stars for breakfast. You can’t leave this place hungry 🙂
    Staff is really polite and ready to answer any questions.

    We highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Hallstatt and the surrounding areas. The cabins are huge and the facilities are great! It wasn’t advertised when we booked our stay but they have communal washing machines for only $6 per wash. The dryer was free which was amazing. The sauna in the cabin was cherry on top. Nicole at the reception had been good to us.

    We spent 3 days at this Resort and are glad that we chose it. It is only 5 mins drive to Hallstatt, parking at the resort is free and the price is not that expensive compared to nearby cities.

    The room is spacious with a bathtub. Breakfast was decent, although expect a bit of variety if you are staying for days.

    It is surrounded by the Alps and closer to a lake. During winter the view was just magnificent.

    What I would like them to improve is the amenities since they have fridge and water cattle. During winger, after been out, of course you would like to drink something warm, they could complement with coffee or tea sachets as other hotels do.

    We was a family group at January. No snow in the resort … Great place to relax and go to sky resorts. A most of the restaurants was closed, but you have nice restaurant in the resort + pizzeria with “old” boiling – great experience.

    Good:
    Scenic location
    Newness of room
    Good service, prompt answers
    Delicious breakfast
    Good food at hotel restaurant

    Bad:
    Staff smoking, laughing and talking loudly at ground level during night breaks affects late night sleep on the 2nd floor as sound travels up.
    Cleaning can be more thorough.
    Ventilation isn’t great.
    Basic utensils like cup and kettle were unclean. If you needed guests to do it myself, at least provide hand soap or detergent.

  1. A completely carefree stay, the staff fulfilled all wishes. Everyone pleasant, smiling and friendly. Excellent location right by the lake and yet in the center of the town with its own heated pool and perfect beach service. A hotel with a long history, but completely modern equipment, beautifully scented. We had a lake view room. Big enough with a super comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. A big bonus is the possibility of parking in the garage. An incredibly rich breakfast. Maximum satisfaction and we plan to return next year. 🙂

  2. A brilliant hotel. The lakeside spa area is incredible, as was breakfast. Rooms were clean and quiet. We didn’t have the best night’s sleep as the curtains were very light (might they consider blackout blinds?) but here, finally, is a swanky hotel worth the hype.

  3. I’m sorry to give 3 stars because the hotel deserves more.
    The outdoor pool, one of the famost attraction of the hotel was closed.
    I even asked by mail before booking if it will be opened during my stay and they told me yes, so finding it closed has been a doble negative surprise.
    (the outdoor jacuzzi was open)
    I would like to say it at the check out but no one asked me how was my stay, that’s also so disappointing.
    Nevertheless the room with lake view was very nice, the food was good and also restaurants staff was great.

You feel attentively looked after in every respect and you get a solution to all inquiries that makes your stay unforgettable. This is our very personal, repeated experience!   5. First day asked for the Wiener schnitzel, it was the worst I have ever eaten in Austria! Chewy, tasted not good. Waited long time to be served One part of the hotel desperately needed some renovation. Newly refurbished parts are ok. Location of the hotel is really amazing, some of the staff was very helpful (not all) Breakfast was good. For parking they charge money, but convenient.
