Might be our favourite resort/hotel during our 2 weeks stay in Bali. Beautiful hotel area, very friendly staff, and good location with really close proximity to everything that Ubud has to offer. But the biggest talking point for us? The beautiful rice paddy next to our room. It just gives you that nice, wonderful, therapeutic vibe. Who doesn’t enjoy waking up and having breakfast next to a rice paddy, and enjoying the sound of cricket and frogs when we’re sitting down on the balcony with books in hand. Pure bliss. Will definitely put this hotel high on my go-back list if we’re in the Ubud area againBy Christopher (2 months ago)They forgot to put a bath tub in our bathroom, and doors! But curtains! How original idea. Nowhere to put your stuff in the bathroom, very in convenient. Nothing like what they post online. Aircon is ancient and making tremendous loud noise. People mentioned about the bed being too soft, wither the mattress is cheap or too old, it lost its support. We had our worst sleep in this hotel. Lucky only booked one night just for the rice field experience. Hotel is in a prime location though, very nice setting, pool is nice, we enjoyed food and drink service by the pool, staffs are friendly, reception and food service all very efficient. If you are a good sleeper, then you won’t have issue. And perhaps lower down your expectation.By Joycy Perksy (a month ago)This is a solid 4-Star hotel that is on the pricey side for a 4-Star hotel in Ubud. If you’re booking here because of the 5-star label, you’re going to be disappointed.
We’re staying 6 nights with Alaya. Pros: they do have everything: the pools, the restaurant, the spa, and the friendly staff. They’re well staffed so if you need anything, someone comes over right away. The bed has a seated ledge surrounding it which we found to be really nice and useful.
Cons: Since we feel this is a solid 4 star hotel, 5-star pricing for food, drinks, and spa just seems a bit too much. The beds are too soft. Rooms are humid (though I’m not sure that can be avoided in this area due to the humid nature of the weather). There’s no lotion. Yeah, it’s a small thing but 5-star hotels would have it. And finally, we didn’t feel that this place was designed with functionality in mind. Example: the vanity is lit from a recessed lighting cone. This makes doing makeup very difficult. The shower has a strange empty walk-in area. But overall, it is well decorated.
By Nancy Janott (5 months ago)The location is awesome, plenty of things to do and visit just outside the hotel lobby. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The breakfast is basic but more than enough to fuel you for the rest of the day. If you can get past the weird configuration of the bathroom, I highly recommended it.By Badrol Hisham (7 months ago)This is my second time staying at Alaya resort! I really enjoy the vibe here. I remember in 2016, the swimming pool was right next to the restaurant. Now they move the pools to a more hidden area right next to the building where we receive our massage.
The staff was super friendly during our stay, and we absolutely enjoy the breakfast! Some downsides are that we can see ants in the room , and I wish the sound proof system of the rooms can be more solid… it’s hard to fall asleep when you can clearly hear that the next room neighbor was taking a shower.
Overall I still highly recommend this hotel to any tourists who like to experience the true Bali. 😇By Lucia Han (5 months ago)

This was my second time at Casa Nemo, and I can’t wait to get back there again soon. Smooth arrangement of reservations and transportation. The location and concept is fantastic, with a restaurant up top, bungalows perched on the hill, going down to a beach bar and beautiful beach with coral for instant snorkelling right off shore. And yet as great as all that is the best part is the wonderful group of people that work there. Keep up the excellent work team Casa Nemo :-).By Brock Simons (2 months ago)We stayed at Casa Nemo for more than a month and had a really good time there. It has a good value for the price and staff is friendly and helpful. We felt comfortable and at home in our nice bungalow. The service in the restaurant is great and attentive (which is generally not very common in Indonesia) and the manager handles things well. Although not all the staff speaks (good) English everybody is friendly and keen on helping. Best place to stay in Pulau Weh.
Definitely also check out the Aceh Heritage Restaurant which is very cosy!By Lara D (2 months ago)We had a wonderful stay in casanemo. It is a beautiful hotel at a pretty beach with bungalows overlooking the sea. There is a lot of attention for detail, in both the rooms and in the garden. A really nicely located bar next to the beach. And a restaurant on top overlooking the garden and the sea serving good food. casanemo is close to sabang and a bit further away from Iboih where most of the diving action is. All the staff is very friendly! June really helped us with everything including organizing our trip there and away and arranging one night stay in a homestay when casanemo was full. You can have massages there, rent motor bikes. A perfect place to enjoy the beach, relax in your hammock, and pamper yourself. We would have stayed longer of we couldBy judy luigjes (2 months ago)I had a nice stay at Casa Nemo. The bungalows have beautiful views and excellent hammocks for lounging. They have lock boxes, fans, fridges, as well as a water dispenser for purified hot or cold water. The massages are wonderful, and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful. My only recommendation would be to put doors on the stairs leading up to the bottom bungalows. That way no one accidentally gets to wander onto someone else’s porch, and guests could leave the doors open at night to get a breeze while feeling safe.
Here are a few “pro tips” that will hopefully make your stay excellent:
– When booking, check to see if they have any events or large groups scheduled. Otherwise the restaurant access may be limited, or you may be listening to loud music all night.
– If you have snorkeling gear, bring it. The hotel can organize them for a daily fee, but the equipment may be of variable state.
– Get the day and night managers’ What’sApp numbers. There are no phones in the bungalows, so if something happens or you need anything your only choice is to run up five flights of stairs.
– The restaurant has beer if you ask. For all other cocktail options head down the beach to Freddie’s.
– Ask for beach towels.
– If you have an outdoor bathroom (which I personally love), be prepared for it to be covered in leaves on windy days or for it to rain in. Bungalows do not get cleaned daily, but I presume they would send someone if you asked.
– The mosquito nets don’t quite cover the bed. If you’re prone to getting bitten, bring your own.
– There is excellent Wi-Fi at the restaurant but none in the bungalows. Prepare accordingly or choose lodging close to the restaurant.By gramuesi (a month ago)We had a really pleasant stay in Casa Nemo !
The place is just magic : wonderful sea view from the room, beautiful gardens trees and flowers all around the place, private beach and turquoise water, food from the restaurant is delicious, well decorated… The staff was so welcoming, kind and helpful. Thank you all the team it was just perfect. We will definitely come back again.By Aurelien Caron (6 months ago)

Beautiful place… So lovely and romantic. So many activities to do. Personal is very helpful. Nights are not so expensive.
You can visit without staying at hotel. This place is ONE of things you MUST check when you visit Batam!
Value for money! Spacious room, sea view, big swimming pools, ok restaurant. We requested extra bed for our 10 years old daughter but thinking the king bed should be large enough to accommodate 3 of us.
However room need repairs, such as towel hanging pins are free rotating so towels easily fall onto the floor.
Excellent view of the beach for our resort room. Very clean and no pests encountered for 1 night stay. Never been beaten at all. No mosquitoes no cockroaches no ants no bugs seen! Bathroom is very spacious n feel luxury n modern. No weird smell on the bed. It feels fresh n clean. Would be very useful if they could add more hanging hooks in the room for hanging dry wet swim suits n clothings given this is a resort. Comes with breakfast buffet and food are decent. Not much facilities here except the Swimming pools are big n nice. Beach is not very clear n blue from near sight. Overall, worth it for staying here.
At first I was bit skeptical. But after I spent three days in the resort, I must say I had a wonderful experience there. The room was clean and quite chilly which is a must for me who really like cold room. The staff were quite warm and friendly. So if you are looking for a short getaway from the crowded city then, this is one of the spot that you could consider.
Nice resort to chill & relax. It’s less than 5 minutes drive from Nongsa ferry terminal. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Its strength of a quiet and peaceful relaxing resort is also a weakness, many nice F&B especially the seafood restaurants are 15 minutes to 40 minutes away.
