This place is beautiful! The aesthetic is great.
My sister in law recently had her wedding at the Armada and it was amazing!
We have a 1 year old and he was entertaining for the whole trip between the play area in the hotel and the beach.
Niall is an amazing people person, he made everyone feel so welcome and Kate at the front desk was great.
    Will definitely stay again

Had a lovely stay at this great hotel. Location is stunning, right on the Atlantic in the west coast of Clare.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cannot emphasize the friendliness of the staff, genuinely lovely people. Dinner in the ocean bar was great, the burger I had was top notch. Breakfast in the morning in Aileen’s restaurant was great, the view was worth the price alone.
Totally recommend for anyone wishing to see the west coast of Ireland and the majesty of the Atlantic.

We recently got married in the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point. The most amazing staff and service. The location is beautiful and food even more so. 100% recommend for a get away. And if you are looking for a wedding location look no further. Robyn part of the wedding team is exceptional. We could not have asked for a more professional, friendly wedding planner! Excellent at her job and such a Lovely person! 5 stars!

Attended a wedding here, what a fantastic place. Got married ourselves here 11 years ago. Was lovely to be back and see all the amazing changes to the place. Food was spectacular 😋 👌 will definitely be back

Please not review is of the ocean bar not accomodation. We booked a table for a group of 7. Staff were very friendly on arrival however service was very poor. We got 5/7 main courses had to ask twice for the the other two. We waited 45 minutes for the last dish in which the rest of us had finished our main course. We ordered desserts and service was slow and again we didn’t get served all together. Had to ask for one of the desserts. Seemed to be no communication between staff. They however not charge us for the main dish that was late. Wouldn’t go back again food was nice but service was awful. Seemed to be a lot of managers but poor communication and even if they was an issue in the kitchen etc they could have explained that to us but we were just left waiting. Disappointing experience as they seem to be really nice and efficient when we got there but after that the service was really poor.

we stayed in the hotel for my friend’s 50th birthday for two nights, we had a fantastic stay from start to finish. staff were lovely especially Cara Rose on reception. the room was
spacious, clean and warm. The view over the water was fantastic we asked the housekeeping staff for extra towels and pillows, nothing was to much trouble for them. the pool was fantastic and warm and the view was lovely. we ate in the restaurant the first night and the staff and the food were lovely. Breakfast on both mornings was lovely plenty of selection of foods available really tasty. will definitely be back.

The hotel is beautiful, and our room was very comfortable. We ate in the bar our first night and the food was excellent. Our server was very attentive and went out of his way to make our meal enjoyable. He also gave us some area recommendations. The only negative was the hotel is very distant from places we wanted to visit during our trip.

The location is stunning, the food was lovely, the rooms were very good and the staff were excellent. However the coach party I was with were herded into two long tables; unfortunately the only seat available was next a lovely 6″ gentleman. We were so close together we could not eat comfortably for banging our elbows. Also the soup three of the four nights was Celeriac.

Absolutely fantastic location. Rooms with a sea view are amazing. Food was delicious and well presented. Lovely spa and pool. Beautiful decor and furniture throughout communal areas. Restaurant has expansive views of the ocean- very beautiful.
The changing rooms at the pool were not what one would expect from such a highly rated hotel: there were no hand towels or functional automatic hand dryers. The hair dryer was broken.
My room was not perfect, the mattress was very soft and did not provide good support. The lampshade was cracked to such an extent that it really should be replaced.
I had the most magnificent view though, with thundering waves breaking against the rocks only a few feet away. Absolutely inspirational! I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and would not hesitate to visit again (provided I can get a room with a sea view again!)

We checked in on a Saturday and found the experience lack lustre. The room we booked was a suite which came with an ocean view. The room itself was nothing special, we found it really standard. The bathroom was so dated with a shower head/bath combo and tiles that moved when you stepped on them. Again, this was supposed to be a suite, which costs over €250 per night. We rang down to ask if another room was available but they were fully booked.
The ocean view, was a view of the restauratant belows roof, with literally a glimpse of the ocean.

The food in the bar was lovely and we had great service from the girls in there.

The hotel itself was very busy and noisy as it was a Saturday so not ideal for a relaxing break.

We had a decent sleep but we were woken at 8am by other guests in the hall way and guests in the room above us jumping on the floors. Not really ideal when you’re wanting a quiet break away.

Breakfast was basic continental, we had beautiful views and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Check out was what let it down further for us, we weren’t asked how we found anything or if we enjoyed our stay. It was just thank you and goodbye. Had we had the opportunity to let the staff know we would have but we just left knowing we wouldn’t be back.

  1. Went to the bar for a family meal. It is a nice venue, food was very good. There was 11 of us and everyone was happy. Service was great. Would definitely go back and after went for a lovely walk on the beach. What more could you ask for.

  2. Brilliant family hotel. Unfortunately lots of people know how good it is so it can often be booked out!

    Why is it brilliant?
1)There are lots of good, well located hotels now Ireland but Inchydoney reflects a decades-honed family tradition of hospitality that makes it different. Every staff member in the hotel seems to want to help you enjoy a relaxing stay. You won’t want to leave!
    2) The rooms are spotless with a large comfortable bed and every room seems to have a veranda view of the sea. There’s lots of beautiful artwork dotted all around the hotel, some of which you can buy if you fancy!
    3) Food is excellent, both in the informal bar and the restaurant. Very tasty and beautifully presented by very attentive waiting staff.
In general actually the hotel seems to have a high ratio of staff to customers so you’re never left waiting for anything you might need.
    4) In a dying tradition; the hotel also has lots of things to do inside its doors. There’s the sea water pool (slots have to be booked) which is deceptively large. Because of the booking system, it never gets too crowded and there are pleasant water jets dotted around. There’s a play room for younger kids and the library area has loads of deep comfortable sofas and chairs with games and books (and music in the evening) where you can chill with a drink and a tasty snack. The cheese plate is to die for.
    5) Finally, there’s the stunning sea location facing south into the Atlantic and surrounded by tidal beaches where you can walk the legs of yourself and the kids and have a dip any time of the year. That said, there is also an awful lot to do nearby, for example lots to do in Clonakilty and fabulous sea vistas like Galley head.

  3. Me and my wife stayed here before Christmas. Lovely hotel right on the beach. Rooms were spacious and modern. Bed was so comfortable. The food was amazing. The best steak I’ve ever ate. Defo recommend

  4. Fabulous location, beautiful interiors with designer furniture, very comfortable and spacious .
I’ve been to many Michelin star restaurants and I have to say the food was top class. All the staff went the extra mile to be friendly and efficient. Well done to all. We will be looking forward to returning in the future.

  5. Absolutely amazing, we have stayed in a lot of hotels but this was the best. Fantastic staff, excellent food, stunning scenery and so many lovely touches along the way, for example, a pot of jam when going home and chocolates at bedtime. We will definitely be back!
