  1. A section of the beach is dedicated to hotel guests, and there are large beach umbrellas and sturdy beach chairs with wooden frames available for rental. Though nothing else compares to the emerald green waters and the sugar sand, there is also an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool. Our stay was short, just a couple of nights and one full day, but we enjoyed it very much. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the open-air restaurant by the outdoor pool. We also enjoyed our first floor room with quick access to the beach, and the room was very clean and well-maintained. The gift shop was open until ten and had candy and soft drinks to satisfy my late night craving for chocolate. The staff was great. October was a great time for a visit to The Emerald Coast.

  2. Perfect location for right on the beach with gorgeous views & more private. Beautiful large pools with tons of lounging chairs, like 1 for everybody which is awesome!! The service is so friendly and kind!! The rooms are a little dated though. We started in the main floor poolside and the color of the room is terrible, mostly salmon color, so when you look at yourself in the mirror your coloring is totally off because of the paint color. The carpet is really worn but that’s normal with a beach property. I think I would put in luxury vinyl plank that’s more sand/beach friendly. We did get a nice upgrade to a 10th floor and the room, paint color and flooring are so much more soothing and it’s more updated than our first room #132. Switched to 1015 with killer amazing ocean view! I highly suggest this hotel for location, amazing customer service, private beach, beautiful large pools!!

  3. Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa is an excellent hotel with a fantastic location and great amenities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The beach is beautiful and just steps away from the hotel, with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to enjoy. The pools are also great, with a variety of options for families and adults. The on-site restaurants offer a variety of delicious food and drinks, with something for everyone. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again.

  4. The Beach is absolutely beautiful, but stay somewhere else. Our room view overlooked a bar with loud live music. We asked to move and they moved us just up 4 floors, same view, slightly muted music at night, and lots of noise from blowers, cars, construction during the day. We would have been happy to pay for an upgrade. But, the front staff said that all they could do was move us to a higher floor. Thankfully the weather was beautiful so we spent little time in the room. The pool area was nice, but much of the pool decks near the ocean were closed for various events. The breakfast buffet was excellent and we had excellent service. But, we ate there for dinner one night and had horrible service. Requested silverware a couple times and finally I got up and got it myself. Which I am fine doing, but for the price of this food at least provide Silverware without having to ask for it. Brought a beer instead of the cocktail ordered. Waitress never came to ask to refill water or check on us for anything. Expected much more from a Hilton. Very disappointing. Will not go back or recommend.

  5. We had a phenomenal experience for a family getaway – even while the hotel hosted a conference during most of our stay. Yes – food/drink is pricey but that’s to be expected on a resort and was not a huge issue since their menu is posted on the website so it’s not a surprise. Beach was exceptional and highlight of the trip for us. Prebook your chair and umbrella and enjoy! Cannot express how much we appreciated every employee interaction as well – kind and courteous to say the least. If I had a critique, it would be that that the rooms could use some TLC and both the pool and beach area could have benefited from another server. Not at all enough to make us feel like we had anything less than a five-star experience, I expect we will be back for future visits.

This past weekend I accompanied my mother on trip to Sandestin. We stayed at the Luau Tower II, in room 6232 for 3 nights. Considering the price of the condo rental and a previous pleasant visit to your resort in 2014, I was shocked at how filthy and outdated the condominium was. Within the first hour, I found a used body soap bar with hair on it, enclosed in the box, implying it had been used and placed back into the box. The outlet on the right side of the bed did not work, the toilet was broken and would not flush (even after the plumber arrived) for our entire stay, and the TV in the bedroom was broken. When we asked for more towels, a trash bag full of unfolded towels was thrown into our room, on the floor. I am not usually one to complain, but the room, the accommodations and the lack of any sort of cleanliness, was abysmal. The customer service was pleasant, but for the entirety of our stay none of the issues were resolved. We returned to this resort with the expectation of the higher standards and accommodations we experienced in 2014. We have referred several people to this resort since our stay in 2014, but will no longer be recommending staying here to ANYONE because the quality of this experience pails in comparison to our previous stay. The filthiness and inadequate accommodations made an otherwise pleasant experience, unbearable. My experience in 2014 was incredibly enjoyable, and a large part of that was due to the high level of service and maintained standards that have since been lost. After this trip there is no possible way that I would consider booking another stay with this resort in the future if this is now the standard at Sandestin Beach Resort.

The view of the water from the Westwinds Gulf side is stunning! The resort is nice, but our room and accommodations were dated and very used. For the $$$$ I expected higher-end furnishings and good mattresses. The toilet handle was broken when we arrived but when we called they came quickly to repair it. Although he fixed the broken handle, now we had to hold the lever down to make it flush properly.
Don’t expect to sleep past 7am as we were woken daily to hammering by the construction crew on the ground level and noisy, banging garbage trucks.

We came to enjoy the salty air and beautiful,, turquoise water, which is exactly what we did.

The hot tub was a nice way to end the day and the pool was refreshing and heated. That was nice since we had cooler weather.

We stayed this last weekend over Christmas. Arrived late due to airlines. They had no way to get us to our room. thankfully Uber driver stayed and took us. Fist night called maintenance because balcony door was whistling. They put a sheet in the door. Tram that is suppose to run 7 days a week did not run the whole time we were there. Next day had to call maintenance again no pressure in shower. they said it was normal. it was not. We removed shower head just to take a shower. Smoke alarm went dead. so we removed from wall to stop the beeping. Christmas Day everything on resort was closed. I didn’t plan on a rental car- ended up getting one because we had no way to get around. They ended up finally giving us a different room. manager calls after we check out and offer a refund. I just received it $9. Really. that’s it!!! we will never return to the resort again.

Great location. Breakfast was incredible with the lady that served us was “art in motion” cooking 6-8 omelets & 3 waffles at a time.
Only item that was rated down was the room. The heating/air had several problems and the mattress showed its age & could have been updated.
The conference facilities were great, as well as gym & pools.

Exactly what I needed. Checking in was super slow, and one guest felt the need to go ahead of me after I waited at least 30 minutes, but that is no fault of the resort, they were solving the issues at hand. Other than that tiny tidbit, everything was amazing. I did forget to reach out about the microwave that turned itself on and off while I was in bed one morning. I’m sure it was electrical. We must go back when the weather is more agreeable.

I’m happy to share photos with the reasoning behind my review for anyone interested.

When I was traveling to this hotel, I had very high hopes as it is surrounded by gorgeous beautiful homes. Unfortunately, this place is an absolute eyesore.

When the elevator doors opened it became clear they were not interested in making any improvements on their property because there were huge spots missing from the paint all over the walls. The elevator was in poor condition and didn’t operate as expected.

During check-in I asked if I could see the room before I checked in. I was told “no” because then it’s considered “unclean.” The downside to this is that regardless of if I saw the room or not, it would be unclean.

I chose to check-in as there was no other option. All of the exterior doors were dirty as if people had been kicking at them or rubbing their feet on them.

Upon entering the room I was met with a warm stagnant odor that seemed painful to my skin. The AC systems were both on but covered in dust build-up. The flooring had damage spots, the bathroom sink had spots that were cracking and peeling. The bathroom light offered nothing for the shower- which was small and stained. The light switches were grimy and the walls had never been wiped.

There were two hairs in the bed closest to the window. The curtain for the window made an unbearable screech when you tried to close it. You had to force it closed because it does not slide closed willingly.

The room was advertised as a TWO QUEEN TWO ROOM but those were NOT queen beds… those were FULL sized beds (smaller).

The balcony was small with stained older “furniture” that I wouldn’t really consider to qualify as furniture.

Tremendously disappointing and management would not allow a refund.

The hotel itself is an older hotel compared to others HOWEVER, checking in was pleasant, very kind staff. We drove over a thousand miles to get here, they allowed us to check in early, and even got our room early after it was cleaned! It smelled fresh, and the bedding was changed as well. Brand new full sized fridge, sink, and microwave. & I even got a phone call in the morning asking if everything was okay in the room.
The room itself was just fine! Compared to what a lot of reviews I read before booking.
Our view of the ocean is incredible, and this hotel suits us for everything we needed. Parking is included, and we have yet to check out the pool/hot tub and bar here but I’m sure they won’t disappoint either.
For the price we paid for the week, it is worth giving this hotel a try!

Loved it here! Clean room, comfy bed, heated swimming pool that’s 8 feet deep, a hot tub, a bar and grill, a nice area on the roof with lounge chairs to lay out in the sun. Property seems to be pretty well maintained. The staff weren’t exactly the most enthusiastic or welcoming, but they were polite, nonetheless. Location is a little isolated, not a whole lot within walking distance, but a quiet area. All in all, I got a very good deal here to stay right on the beach, and honestly I don’t think their rates can be beat considering all the amenities they offer.

This hotel is underrated. The view from our balcony was spectacular! The room is large and has a big refrigerator with a freezer. It may be outdated a little bit. But everything is still functional. Walking to the beach is so easy and convenient. The beach seems to be safe for kids. The gulf water level is pretty shallow with mild waves. We collected some beautiful seashells and saw some alive fish, crabs, and clams.

Beachside isn’t the newest thing on the beach but the rooms seem to be well maintained and clean. We reserved a king kitchenette and found it quite comfortable and roomy. The thing I liked the most is the fact that it is located on the west end which isn’t nearly as crowded as the east end.
