  1. Wry clean hotel. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Several amenities in the hotel. If lucky and able to get a room up high facing north, the pictures show the view. Just spectacular. Service was excellent. The hotel is outside the really busy downtown area, which may be good or bad depending on what one wants to do. Nonetheless, it is next to a long walkway facing the marina and many restaurants, which is great. Will recommend for anyone looking for a nice and well located place.

  2. Summary – Clean and comfortable enough hotel room with a cozy bar with extremely friendly staff called Hudson and Nash at Promenade level. Easy access to Waterfront and to town. Many things you need or want is on request-basis.

Every Hilton Gold or above (i believe) gets a USD 15 credit to shop daily at its Cannery. We were all given a refillable bottle and there are several water points near the toilets. Tidy/Make up of rooms are on a request basis but my room was tidied up without my request which was fine for me as I often only change towels and no need to make up my bed. When you request towels, a new set will come to you without collecting the old set.

In terms of included room amenities, a twin-bed room with 2 hotel guests only had 1 set of face-soap, bar soap and hair shampoo. I had to call to request more bath gel. Room slippers was said to be out of stock for me. Many things you need or want will be on request basis, an opposite to most Asian hotels. It could be their sustainability effort so not a big deal for me.

One night, our hotel door lock refuses our card entry. We had to call for help and someone came to reset our electronic door.

  3. This review is long over due. I stayed here a couple months back. While now I am a Diamond member, when I stayed here I was a Gold member. You would have never guessed the difference – I was treated like royalty. The staff here is warm, welcoming, and they will go above and beyond to accommodate you. This is exactly what I want and appreciate after a long day of flying/traveling. The communication/messaging between staff and myself was mainly done via the app and texts and this is incredibly convenient. I was upgraded to a higher floor and the view was spectacular. I did experience a little snafu. I am severely allergic to cats/dogs and did not realize this hotel is pet friendly. The first night there, I started sneezing/itchy watery eyes and I knew immediately it was pet dander. I communicated with Melanie via text, requested a deep clean and it was immediately arranged for the next day. I arrived back to my room a bit earlier the following day and Griselda (the housekeeper) was still cleaning. She was the most pleasant, sweetest, friendly, thoughtful and accommodating staff member there. And that says a lot, because all staff I came across during my stay were fantastic. She was explaining to me everything that she cleaned from vents to the top of the curtain/curtain rods, and the last step was to call somebody to shampoo the carpet and stated she would arrange that immediately since we wanted to be in our room again. (At that point I was not feeling the greatest and I adored her and was so grateful for her going above and beyond). She even got me an extra bag of Kleenex without me having to ask for it because she noticed immediately I was so stuffy. Details like that make a world of a difference. When we came back and entered our room I could breathe again and my allergies were a thing of the past. The room was SPOTLESS. This hotel is not only centrally located, and beautiful. It is top notch, with the best and friendliest staff. Customer service is what sets this hotel apart from many. This is one of my top 3 hotels to stay at and I will definitely be back.
**Important to note that there was another guest that stayed with me and they were fine. The hotel room was clean. However, I am extremely sensitive to any pet dander and can pick up and be affected by even the slightest sense of it.

  4. A very nice place for a convention or reception. Much nicer than most venues in San Diego.

I accompanied my daughter who was invited to sing the National Anthem at the Women in Blue Symposium. The spaces were beautiful and the staff was beyond friendly.

One standout item was the professionalism and high level of technical capability of the audio visual staff – absolutely top-end. The sound was pitch perfect in nearly every way.

This facility is a go-to facility for the highest and best supported (funded) events in San Diego.

The food was good. I’m not a fan of hotel fare, and likely never will be. But the food here was tasty and very beautifully presented. The food staff were very nice and capable as well.

    Beautiful facility.

  5. I went to this hotel for a business meeting. The first problem I had with the hotel is the on-site parking is $45 a day!! This is insane. I don’t care that they give the excuse that it’s owned by another company they need to negotiate that with the city of San Diego or the other company. I work in Beverly Hills and their parking is not as expensive as this! Next we had a break from our conference at 12:00 & the hotel restaurant was Ill prepared even for several patrons even though they knew we were all going to be there…we only had one hour and the line was long and they had a lot of empty tables and they didn’t have the staff to clean them and a lot of us just had to go to the snack outlet to get food. When you know you have a big group in there you need to have extra people so you’re ready for the hotel rush in the restaurant. Finally, as detailed in another place, the Starbucks and the yogurt shop were outside and around the corner you literally had to leave the hotel and walk in the rain and the wind or whatever to get to the Starbucks & their acai yogurt place …that are on property. These restaurants should be accessible from inside the property… they were located in a very odd place even though they’re on the physical property trying to get to them was a little bit odd and one had to get out in the elements in freezing cold and rain just to get to your Starbucks and the other mini restaurant with yogurt. Anyway that’s what I got to say. Very odd design on the first floor and when you took one escalator you could not get to the other side of the building it was just odd design and some parts of it were outside it just didn’t make sense. It IS A beautiful place and a beautiful location. I’m going to send some photos that some of the people in my party took I mean the views and the location are stunning.

Awesome experience from start to finish! Amazing amenities and service, with ambience that is hard to beat. We’ve stayed in resorts all over the country, and this place ranks up there with the best of them. Especially happy with the kid friendly nature of the entire resort and the restaurants we frequented, and a lot of folks were also here with their happy pets in tow. Good to know for future reference! All in all a memorable experience and likely a new annual tradition for our son’s birthday 🙂

Absolutely enjoyed our stay here! The resort was beautiful with a breathtaking view. Upon arriving, we valeted and were able to check-in without a wait. We ordered room service the majority of our stay due to convenience and the food was good! Note, I’d avoid the pumpkin French toast, everything else that we ordered such as breakfast burrito, pancakes, steak, pizza, calamari, some chicken dish with pasta was all really good. We were only at the resort long enough to sleep and eat and didn’t get a chance to enjoy many of their amenities. The bed was comfortable, shower was at a temperature and pressure I liked, no complaints with this resort. It’s about 30ish min from airport without traffic and about 45m/1h from Beverly Hills/Hollywood area with minimal traffic. Good location, I’d stay again and recommend

Terranea, a 5-star stay with a completely stunning ocean-front room equipped with a balcony. Each morning, we enjoyed coffee and pastries outside while looking for whale spouts. We had drinks at Nelson’s, watched the sun go down over the lighthouse, enjoyed the pool, and walked the trails around the property.

From start to finish, Henry Cox made our time at Terranea Resort a complete joy, reserving activities for our group and making sure we got the most out of our stay.

Thank you for making our stay at Terranea so memorable. We will be talking about it for years to come!

I live in the area and this is a place I love to come as often as possible. You can enjoy drinks and/or food while enjoying the sunset because the patio area is stunning. I’ve never stayed there (again, cause I live 5 minutes away) but if I was from out of town, I’d definitely stay here.

The only drawback is it isn’t in a walkable area so you would definitely need a car. The freeway (110N) is a good 20 minutes away and the 405 is about 30 minutes away.

I’ve eaten in the restaurants and everything is just delicious. You simply can’t go wrong.

It gets chilly at night, so make sure to have a sweater.

The resort was gorgeous! Breakfast at Catalina was so so good – best buffet I’ve been to. Karaoke at Bashi was very entertaining – Erick was a great bartender. Took a yoga class on Saturday with Jose and it was amazing! Jose is such a great instructor and really made our experience at the resort so much better. We look forward to staying at the resort again.

This hotel is fabulous. Great location. Fantastic service. Their service is so positive. Great food. The pools and hot tubs are fantastic. The concierge made my son’s birthday really special with balloons, a birthday sign, and cupcakes. Highly recommend this hotel!

Our family had an unforgettable stay at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach. The frandly staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. The hotel itself was beautiful and well-maintained, providing a relaxing atmosphere for our getaway.

The location was simply perfect – just a stone’s throw away from the stunning beach. We enjoyed walks along the shore. The nearby restaurants and shops offered plenty of options to explore and enjoy.

Our kids particularly loved the heated pool, where they spent hours splashing around and making new friends.

Had a fantastic experience at this Hyatt over New Years this year. The hotel itself is beautiful and the service is beyond excellent. We stayed for four nights and the staff helped us everything from deliveries, to scheduling our room cleaning around our toddler’s schedule, and managing a package arriving before we checked into the hotel. Everything was handled promptly and with care. There are a variety of nice restaurants on the property along with a convenience store. We also frequented the spa which was lovely and very relaxing. I would definitely come back!

Really nice hotel. Upper price range for sure. Location is great, it has its own bridge to cross directly to the beach. Shops and coffee in the hotel. They gave us an upgrade to full ocean view from our partial, didn’t even ask. Highly recommended.

Talk about a resort! This place has everything from fitness center, spas, pools, ocean view rooms. I’m a Hyatt Globalist and my stay here has been one of the best. This place is massive, in addition it has its own bridge to walk across Huntington Beach. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay near the beach while having an amazing view AND it’s also pet friendly! 🐕
