Avoid at all costs for food. We thought this would be good as the outdoor seating area was packed but my meal was dreadful. when I tried to complain the staff were argumentative, wouldn’t let me explain and threatened to call the police if I didn’t pay? I was happy to pay for my drinks and my partners meal but I didn’t touch the chicken on my plate as it was dry and tasteless. Luckily our waiter eventually decided to knock it off our bill. The one and only bad experience I’ve had while visiting Montenegro!By sarahjeane divito (6 months ago)Only had breakfast here. Good service and atmopshere. The coffee and orange juice was great, so was the cheesecake. Only letdown was the poached eggs as they were hard boiled which goes against everything that a poached egg is about.By Julien van der waal (7 months ago)Didn’t stay at this hotel but I had a quick meal outside opposite the old town.
Friendly service.
Really good food.
Nicely situated in a good location.By Murad Murad (10 months ago)Very weird experience in the cafe. I ordered a latte for €1.80 and asked for caramel syrup to add. The waiter seemed bothered and said it would be €4 extra for the syrup. I thought maybe he didn’t understand me so I clarified I didn’t want another drink, just a little bit of syrup to add. He said he understood and the total would be €5.80. I told him that seemed ridiculous so he was very rude to me and walked away. I went up to the cafe bar to ask someone else, and they kindly said it was no problem. But then the first waiter interrupted and told him not to give it to me without charging €4. This all seemed really weird and aggressive to me. I asked to speak to the manager who came to me after a few minutes and I explained what happened and that it seemed like I was getting overcharged. The manager said the waiter told him a completely different story and apologized profusely. Then brought me the syrup free of charge, even though I offered to pay an additional euro for it. That was kind. The whole thing just threw me off. That first guy should not be working in customer service. I’ve attached a picture below to show the size of the coffee (€1.80) and syrup he was trying to charge an additional €4 for.By noelle mandolfo (a year ago)Lovely place to sit and eat/drink, friendly staff and nice food. Very reasonably priced, busy on a Sunday.By Susan Y (6 months ago)

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. Once in the summer and second time in the winter. I like this hotel a lot. Breakfast buffet is so rich and can cater for any taste, including Kosher kitchen. I will definitely stay here again at my next visit to Montenegro. Tip: book a luxury room and you will have amazing sea views from your bed.By Robert Z (4 months ago)We came here with high hopes. When we arrived, we had been upgraded from standard to Superior, which was great. The room was huge, with a wet room, separate WC and sink as well as another sink in the shower area. We had a safe in the room, a minibar and a decent size wardrobe. The air con was great and the balcony was small, but intimate with a great view.
I was planning to Propose to my partner and the staff, mostly Maria was a huge help, she organised Rose’s and a great place for me to propose with several options given.
We were all inclusive, so had the options of all the food throughout the stay. This was really good quality and plenty of it too.
I did manage to get a bigger suite for a night too, so have put some photos of that room too.Would really recommend this hotel to anyone, you can get great deals and its location is great. You are within walking distance of the beach, the Old Town and the centre with plenty of shops.
They also have a great Spa and wellness centre, with a pool that is pretty much an infinity pool above the beach and Adriatic sea.
The stuff are really nice and once again, Maria on Reception made our week great, rather than just good.
Just in case, you have read this far she said yes 😀
By Travelling Taff (6 months ago)I liked my stay, it was a business trip so I haven’t stayed much in the hotel itself.
I wanted to say a great thanks to a young girl from the reception, Milica. She has outstanding communication and English language skills. Extremely kind and attentive. She helped me to manage my journey to Podgorica, giving me some local-insider advice and really paying attention that I am safe and sound. She gave an impression of being really focused on the job she has to do. I imagine its quite hard to find a good staff nowadays so extra compliments to her.
Thank you!By Weronika Lis (3 weeks ago)The hotel is not focused on vegetarian guests! Very few vegetable dishes, and they are not enough for a nutritious meal. No natural sweets either. It’s a good thing there was a vegetarian pastry shop in town, and I was ordering fruit cakes and desserts, or I would have hit exhaustion!By Fhillip (5 months ago)Amazing hotel right next to the old town. Our room was spacious and looked right over the water and old town. Gym/spa/pool facilities are as good as you’ll find in Europe. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff were excellent. Definitely recommend staying at Avala!By Dan Jackson (6 months ago)

This place is amazing. It is only a few hundred meters from the oceanfront. You could easily spend your entire trip relaxing on this resort style place. The rooms are very comfortable. The windows opened fully to allow for the cool ocean breeze to fill the room.
Even though there were a lot of families, the walls are thick enough to allow for privacy. This place is absolutely great. I cannot wait to return and enjoy my next vacation in luxury that this place evelopes you in.
Pretty disappointing stay. Big hotel complex. Rooms outdated and air con wasn’t working at 31 degrees outside temperature. We complained several times but it didn’t get fixed and we weren’t even offered a room change. Rooms otherwise clean.
Receptionists ridiculously unfriendly and not willing to help. One of the worst service I have ever experienced. The staff in general (restaurant service, reception, facility maintenance) seemed unhappy and bored.
Food at breakfast and dinner cold, boring and low quality. We skipped the dinner after the first day and went to restaurants in town instead.
The whole hotel vibe rather depressing.
I am giving one star for the pretty and maintained hotel gardens and another one (would have given half a star if possible) for the handful of staff who tried.
Can’t recommend (especially for the Germanic market).
I didn’t stay there, so I’m not rating the rooms, but the gardens and the style the hotel is built in. It’s very green & unpretentious but gorgeous. It reminds me of a beautiful hacienda. The terrace with music is nice. And the park is the most beautiful one in Budva.
Had an amazing stay here. Staff at reception were super friendly and helpful. Room was really nice, modern and clean and right next to the beach. Highly recommended!
Absolutely love this place! It is so spacious! There is a big park which is perfect for children and morning workout.
There is a pool with instructor so your children can learn to swim here.
Huge variety of food, I enjoyed breakfast the most!
Service is great and you can ring housekeeping for everything that you need if you don’t have it in the room.
At night you can enjoy the restaurant “Pjaca” and live music, the man on the guitar.
Super romantic and cute.
This complex has everything (hair dresser, souvenir shop, a lot of coffee shops, boutiques, laundry and ironing service…)
This is place that welcomes literally everyone.
Loved it here!
Can’t wait the next year!
Thank you so much!
