  1. The location was excellent The rooms are dated, smells in the hallway, low toilets. but clean. The grounds are very nice but there is no amenities. The pool closes at 7 pm which is too early.
There is no entertainment at he HI so you have to go to other places. Loved Aruba but very very hot. The beach is excellent and beautiful. You can stay literally in the water all day. They do have free big palapas. but the private ones you pay 30 dollars a day. Also the towels at the hotel are clean but dingy and not soft. You get what you pay for. Overall it was a great value and had a great time.

  2. Let me start off with the good. The resort has quite a few restaurants to choose from, and the food is simply amazing. The staff here is also very friendly and makes it their aim to make you feel at home. There’s also a nice beach view from the hotel, with plenty of water sports to choose from, and the hotel is placed in a very populous spot of town, so there’s plenty to do

Now the bad, the rooms were not worth the price at all. They weren’t terrible per say, but the quality just wasn’t impressive, also the room we stayed in had a faint mildew smell to it. I think if the prices were reduced then my stay here would be even better

Lastly, shout out to Eugene the Bell Hop/front door greeter, he made sure to check in on anything we needed during our stay at the holiday inn!

  3. Absolutely wonderful! The grounds are beautiful; great pools, friendly staff and fabulous food. The beach is gorgeous and everyone is constantly cleaning up outside. Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable. Always taxis ready outside. Plenty of shopping and eating just a walk across the street. They can also set you up with tours and have many things to offer at the beach.
Downside is pools close at 7pm
Alcoholic drink quality was hit and miss great. We were all inclusive; sometimes it seemed some frozen drinks had no alcohol
Overall, awesome and will go back!

  4. 1st time staying here. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The location is amazing! We walked to so many great restaurants and stores. The pool and beach was fabulous, always plenty of chairs. We came for a family vacation and we LOVED it! Highly recommend!

  5. I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my comfort. The room was clean and spacious with all the necessary amenities, including a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The hotel’s location was also ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants.

One of the standout features of my stay was the hotel’s breakfast buffet. The selection was impressive, with a variety of hot and cold options, including freshly brewed coffee and juice. The dining area was also well-maintained and spacious.

Overall, I highly recommend the Holiday Inn for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff’s hospitality and the hotel’s amenities made for a memorable experience.

I stayed at the Riu Palace Aruba and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The location on Palm Beach was breathtaking, with a stunning view of the Caribbean right outside my window. The resort was conveniently located just a short drive from the airport and Oranjestad, making it easy to explore the island.

I was blown away by the luxurious accommodations at the Riu Palace Aruba. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with plush towels, comfortable bedding, and top-notch amenities. The room service was prompt and delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by the gourmet food options available throughout the resort.

It was a cut above the rest, offering a superior experience in every aspect. From the attentive staff to the first-class facilities, it was the perfect vacation.

I highly recommend the Riu Palace Aruba to anyone looking for a top-notch all-inclusive experience. It truly lived up to its reputation as a luxurious resort, and I can’t wait to go back!

After reading the reviews, I was so nervous to stay at the Riu Palace. But I’m so happy I did. From opening the doors and greeting us with champagne it was so nice. Check in was a smooth process. Our room was clean and smelled good everyday. We headed to the bar, and the drinks were good but I only drink martinis but they did not disappoint. The food was good. We ate somewhere different every night and each restaurant was good. The Japanese and the steak house were the best. The hotel is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and south beach night life. The beach at the hotel is breathtaking. Absolutely beautiful. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. I can’t complain about anything this was an amazing stay and vacation in Aruba. I would definitely return.

My husband and I just left there for our honeymoon. The food, the drinks, the service, THE PEOPLE ARE AMAZING! We have cried because we are no longer there. So we have booked our next trip already!! This place was like a castle. Any and everything you could imagine it could be. The entertainment by the pool and at night was usually very very good!! I recommend staying here. The employees are the most accommodating people!! This place is absolutely amazing and cannot wait to return. See you soon🥰

Black mold and mildew throughout my room. My throat hurts BAD. My mother found big cockroaches in her room. Outdated & rundown. Far from a 5-Star hotel. Food is not worth the all inclusive. The room service menu is an absolute joke. Rooms are freezing cold at night. On day 5 out of 7 and literally can’t wait to leave here. Outrageously expensive. The luggage attendant literally wouldn’t let me touch my suitcase because he wanted money for moving them. Couldn’t go to bed early because they have drunk karaoke night almost every night can hear the music with a pillow over my head. Wish I would’ve stayed home for the holiday . .Seems like management is fully aware and just gives generic responses to people complaining as I read the bad reviews with similar experiences to mine.

Just came back from a stay 11/27/22 – 12/2/22 and would go back in a heartbeat. The whole staff from check in to the beach staff was great. Robert and the rest of the pool staff was always ready to refill those empty cups. As many have said before bring a yeti or such and they will put your favorite drink in there over and over again without an issue. Make dinner reservations as soon as you can after checking in for better options. If they are booked might be able to get a walk in or cancelation you never know. The rooms were fine as we did not spend much time in there so didn’t really care much, only thing we did not have a tub with a child but managed just fine. The casino is tiny and recommend going next door :). The food there was always something to find even with a 2-year-old with us. Some complain about beach/pool chairs but that’s the same story anywhere you go, you want one get up early simple as that. There is a child area also that many do not know about where they can play with a swing set right next to the beach. Will look to come back in the future for sure. Thank you to the whole staff for a great experience. 5 stars!

First time ever staying at an all enclusive resort. Food and drinks were great. enjoyed the beach and the pool. Staff was very friendly. Especially enjoyed the staff at the beach. Ricky, Alan and the rest of the Zumba team. So much fun. The bartenders Eric and Armando in the RCI Bar I believe it was called were especially attentive. The houskeeping group were very nice too. I would definitly recommend Barcelo Aruba to my friends. Thank you for a great Vacation. I forgot to mention the great massage I got at the spa by Natalia. Ask for her you wont be dissapointed. Abraham and Caine helped my 97 year old friend enjoy the beach too. Thanks everyone

I love staying at Barcelona resorts!!! This is my second time, the first being in an equally as great Barcelona resort in Cancun!! I love it so much here all of the staff is super nice and helpful! My personal favorite being Claudia from Colombia! She’s the funnest and nicest hostess 🙂 She works in the buffet style restaurant near the beach in the mornings and daytime! Our rooms are super nice and each day the mini fridge is restocked as well as towels and toiletries. I haven’t seen one person at the hotel who wasn’t happy!!! Love it here! Me and my family are having a blast!

Went here for my birthday. Overall, the resort is nice, and the rooms need updating. They advertise that they are family friendly. I took my 7 year old son on the trip. When we checked in, they never said what activities they had for kids or where anything was located for the kids. While walking the beach, there was a piece of paper on an excursion stand saying trick or treat at 10AM in the lobby for kids. Two days before check out, a beach staff member asked me to fill out a survey. It was when I asked her about a question on the survey that I found out that the kids’ activities were inside from 6 pm to 8 pm, and the clubhouse had gaming systems, but the controllers were broken.

They only have 1 pool, and when the kids are in the pool with the adults, they get irritated with them. There’s nowhere else for the kids to play.

Overall, my family and I had a good time and met some nice people. The food was good. If you don’t want to eat on the resort, you can walk across the street to the restaurants. We would go back but stay at a different resort.

We recently returned to this property after more than 20 years. It is one of the older resorts on Aruba, but with several changes in ownership, they have done a nice job of keeping up with the maintenance, and it is still a very nice, modern resort. The pool area and the beach are wonderful! Especially the beach – beautiful sand, lots of mature palm trees, wonderful turquoise waters, plenty of beach chairs at no extra cost, and great service on the beach from the Barcelo staff.

The food options are only slightly above average – the Italian restaurant was great, but the buffets could use some improvement (quality and variety). The drinks are great, and the staff are wonderful. Bartenders at the pool bar serve up a fresh drink just as you’re finishing one! And the servers are friendly, prompt and efficient, especially Vanessa. We loved her smile and laugh, and hope to see her running the place in a few years!

There are great places to eat and shop just across the street if you get tired of the buffet. Overall, it’s a great resort and a wonderful island!
